When the troops went into Baghdad, the centre of fighting was the city zoo. Some people (soldiers and civilians – including 4 kids) decided to save the animals. There is a chorus. It’s a heart-warming, theatrical piece of modern theatre about kindness and care in a time of war.

An adaptation of DH Lawrence’s most famous novel – the one that was banned. Constance Chatterley is married t Sir Clifford, but when he comes back paralysed from the first world war she begins a passionate relationship with Mellors, her husband’s gamekeeper. It is a story about class and love. Never been done by (or available to) an amateur company before.

Ruby is a girl with anxiety. The play tells the story of how she survives and conquers one school day. All the actors play Ruby – so it is a highly unusual, theatrical telling of a real life situation. It is funny and very real.

A dark fairy tale with magic and danger and great theatrical stand-off between the Miller’s daughter and Rumplestiltskin. The Miller’s Daughter gets imprisoned by the king. He won’t release her until she spins straw into gold. The magical creature Rumplestiltskin helps her, frees her, but demands something in return.

Two lovers sail away in a rowing boat. The man looks over the side and sees King Cod, the biggest fish in the sea. It’s a story of greed and he gets bigger and bigger boats, all the time trying to get King Cod. His relationship with his lover fails and evenually King Cod pulls him and his crew down under the water.

The play ends in a fish and chip shop, with King Cod serving fish and chips to the ghosts of the sailors and the audience.  Prepare to pass your Food Hygiene certificate (on line).
